This past weekend I taught my Simple Sewn and Folded Bindings workshop to a group of very creative people. It was so inspiring and refreshing to spend a weekend creating books and listening to the students' ideas of how they were going to use their new found skills to create one-of-a-kind book projects on there own.
I've gone ahead and created a tutorial based on one of my handouts from the workshop to share with you, the blog readers. It covers the basic anatomy of a book, and discusses things to consider like; paper grain, archival materials, and moving beyond blank books. You can find more on the tutorial here.
You may also be interested in browsing some of my other patterns and tutorials here.

Nice information about book binding. And a beautiful photo too. :-) Thanks.
